A Family Childcare Owner and teacher reports, “The First 5 Humboldt programs have helped me develop as a family childcare owner and teacher; in particular, the IMPACT program, where I took professional development classes and trainings. One of the trainings (I took through the) IMPACT program that has informed my work with parents in my program is (how to use) the ASQ-3 screening tool. After completing the training and receiving the ASQ-3 binder, I have used it many times in my workplace. The ASQ-3 screening tool has given me another pathway to communicate with families about child development. It opens the way to share successes and concerns in each area of their child’s development.
