This late summer and fall, First 5 Humboldt has been busy bringing Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) classes to families across the county — in both English and Spanish. These free classes offer parents and caregivers a supportive space to talk about the joys and challenges of raising children, learn positive strategies, and strengthen family relationships.
In August, we were excited to partner with Paso a Paso and the Redway Family Resource Center to offer a Spanish-language Triple P class in Southern Humboldt. In October, we hosted another Spanish session at the Jefferson Community Center in collaboration with The Center’s Ama Tu Vecindad program. We also hosted a fall in-person English series at Ridgewood Elementary School.
