This fall, we hosted two Embodied Healing for Collective Strength workshops with Dr. Laura Johnson, designed to support the well-being of local service providers through somatic and embodied practices.
The first session, held October 10 at the Trinidad Heart Center, welcomed participants for a day of somatic meditation, reflective discussion, embodied practice, and a community grief circle. The second session, held November 4th at Friends of the Dunes, continued this work in a natural setting, deepening participants’ connection to self, community, and sustainable caregiving.
Inspired by feedback from last year’s symposium, these intimate sessions offer space to explore embodied awareness of grief as a pathway for transformation, resilience, and social change. Participants shared that they felt seen, supported, and renewed, expressing gratitude for having a space to process grief and reflect on their caregiving roles.
These gatherings reflect our ongoing commitment to fostering resilience, reflective practice, and trauma-informed care within the early childhood and family service community
