We are pleased to share important updates as we finalize preparations for the soft launch of Help Me Grow Humboldt in June. Our HMG Navigator has successfully completed training on the Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ), enabling us to provide developmental screenings that support families in monitoring their child’s growth. To make this service as accessible as possible, families will have the option to complete ASQ assessments via phone, mail, or text, allowing caregivers the flexibility to complete the questionnaire on their own time and in the way that works best for them. Following the screening, we will provide a follow up call to go over other results and offer guidance on next steps.
Our team is actively developing the Help Me Grow Humboldt website, which will serve as a central resource for referrals, information, and support. Families and providers will be able to submit referrals easily through this platform, ensuring seamless access to services. Over time, the website will expand to include additional resources that empower families and strengthen community collaboration.
We are also integrating Apricot as our case management database in order to streamline intake and referral processes. Intake forms have been developed based on successful models used by other Help Me Grow programs. We are currently conducting test entries to optimize functionality before full implementation. Additionally, all program materials are finalized, and we are now awaiting approval of the official program logo. Once the logo is confirmed, we will have materials printed and distributed in the community.
In the coming weeks, we will host a Lunch & Learn event for providers and community partners in June. This event will introduce Help Me Grow Humboldt, provide an overview of our services, and explain how community partners can refer families to the program. It will be an opportunity to build connections, share best practices, and learn about other programs through First Five Humboldt. We will be sending out a save-the-date as soon as possible.. We look forward to building strong partnerships and ensuring that children and families receive the resources.
